How to Lighten Dark Knees and Elbows?

Easy Hacks for a Common Issue

Embarrassed of your excessively dark knees and elbows?

And you have tried several methods to wash out the dirt but you still see no results?

Dark knees and elbows are a common problem several people face; these areas of our body become dark due to dead skin cells.

Dark knees and elbows stain your beauty and often restrict you from wearing short skirts and short-sleeve tops or dresses. Basic natural remedies and skin care routines can help you deal with this problem.

Here are a few remedies to your rescue.

  • Coconut oil –

Every time you shower apply coconut oil on your knees and elbows and massage it gently for 5 minutes and leave it on. You can also reapply it several times a day.

  • Yogurt –

Take one spoon of plain yogurt in a bowl, add white vinegar to it and make a smooth paste. Apply it on your knees and elbows; let it dry for at least 20 minutes. Rinse it away with warm water and then apply a moisturizer.

  • Sugar –

Mix equal parts of sugar and olive oil and make a thick paste. Apply this to your knees and elbows and rub it in circular motion for 5 minutes. Wash it off with mild soap and lukewarm water. Repeat it once daily until you notice a difference.

  • Baking soda –

Take one tablespoon baking soda in a bowl, add one tablespoon milk to it and make a fine paste. Apply it on your knees and elbows in circular motions for 5 minutes. Wash it away with lukewarm water.
